The Opelika Character Council is a team of concerned citizens committed to promoting monthly character traits throughout our schools and the City of Opelika.
The OCC originated as a project of the Envision Opelika Race Relations/Cultural Diversity Task Force. The goal was to create a city of racial harmony that enhances all aspects of life. OCC’s continuing goals are:
+Improve quality of life for all people
+Build character among citizens
+Eliminate negative results of discrimination within minority groups
+Bring together factions
+Create awareness in schools
